“J.D.” Aldrich attended the Berklee College of Music in
Boston, Massachusetts, earning a Bachelors of Music
degree. Mr. Aldrich has been an associate professor of
music at Berklee for more than 35 years, where he is
well loved by his students, teaching courses in jingle
writing and songwriting. Of special note is that these
courses were the first of their kind when started by
him.
J.D. has been hugely successful as a writer, arranger,
producer and vocalist for numerous television and radio
jingles, creating works for advertising campaigns used
by Coca-Cola, Calvin Klein, Keds and OshKosh B’Gosh. He
has also performed on television shows, such as Touched
By An Angel, General Hospital, All my Children, The
Jaime Fox Show, The Young and the Restless and Beverly
Hills 90210. Among his other accomplishments are writing
and singing a 1986 Super Bowl song and singing in a rock
opera.
Mr. Aldrich plays lead guitar and provides vocals for
the band, “Americana,” and has also played nationally
for over 20 years with his trio, “J.D., Billy and Ken.”
Never forgetting his hometown, he generously donates his
time twice yearly to perform at the hugely successful
Johnstown Block Party and the Fulton County Scholarship
Dance. Mr. Aldrich also personally gives a scholarship
each year to a graduating JHS senior.
