Policy
Policy is a basic plan of action which establishes objectives to be attained by the Board of Education in the district.

The Greater Johnstown School District policy manual is divided into eight sections:

  • 1000 - By-Laws
  • 2000 - Internal Operations
  • 3000 - Community Relations
  • 4000 - Administration
  • 5000 - Business and Non-Instructional Operations
  • 6000 - Personnel

Regulations
Regulations are rules developed by the administration for the implementation of policy in a school district.

Procedures
Procedures are plans indicating how specific staff members, students and others are involved in implementing activities consistent with regulations and policies in the district.
