Did You
Know Glebe Has a New Panther Pledge?
The
Shared Decision Making Team (SDM) helped to form the New
Glebe
Panther Pledge. All the students at Glebe are learning
the pledge, and reciting it each day together as part of
the morning routine. The pledge highlights some of the
very basic and important qualities that we are working
to cultivate in our students so that they become good
citizens at Glebe, and in the greater community. Posted
throughout the building, this pledge shows everyone
who visits here that good character is central to our
mission.

place to learn. |
Jansen Students' Poems
Chosen For Publication
Last
year, in Mrs. Amy Kollar's fifth grade class, students
worked on a unit entitled Language on Poetry. After
writing several kinds of poems, students chose one to
enter into a contest. Ten students had their work chosen
and are now published poets. The students' works are
available in an anthology entitled "Excellence 2006
Poetry Collection" published by The America Library
Poetry.
