Athletes of the Week: Boys Basketball & Cheerleading
Dillon Holcomb
is a hard-working and coachable student-athlete. He hit
two key three-pointers to swing the momentum in the Sir
Bills favor during their 40-38 victory over the
Cobleskill-Richmondville Bulldogs, and finished the game
with 12 points and eight rebounds.
Korena Thorton has been a basketball cheerleader for two
seasons. She is always willing to learn and works hard
to help the squad perform at its highest level. She has
not missed a practice or game all season.
Athletes of the Week: Wrestling
On January 1,
2011, Patrick Morrison and Austen Manchester helped
their team to a victory over Foothills league opponent
Broadalbin-Perth. Patrick got a big win for the Sir
Bills with a pin fall over BP's Matt Colson, setting the
pace for the rest of the team. Austen wrestled a tough
match, going the distance and only losing 4-2, keeping
the Sir Bills in the lead by only giving up three team
points.
Athletes of the Week: Girls Basketball, December
13-25, 2010
In
the three games played between December 13 and December
25, 2010, Brynn Hlozansky averaged seven points and six
rebounds per game. She is absolutely the Lady Bill's
best defender and most focused player. In practice she
leads by example! She is on the floor for every loose
ball and rebound.
For a sophomore, Courtney Cirillo really had a break out
game against Gloversville. She led the team in scoring
with 18 points and rebounding with 10 boards. In her
three games she averaged nine points and seven rebounds
a game.

612 series to lead the Sir bills to a 4-0 sweep of
Queensbury. At the end of the first month of play, the
Sir Bills sport a 9-7 record.

VanAernam entered the 2010 season exceptionally strong. In
the Lady Bills first two matches, she bowled game
highs of 242 and 212 with series of 547 and 554
respectively. Likewise, Morgan Ruggeri is also off to a
terrific start. As an eighth grader, Morgan has game
