Junior at JHS Recognized as One of the “13 Kids Who Care”
Hailey Smith, a junior at Johnstown High School, was chosen as one of WNYT’s “13 Kids Who Care.” Each year, WNYT-News Channel 13 and St. Peter’s Health Care Services reward outstanding students from schools around the Capital Region for their volunteer work and community involvement. The Johnstown Reformed Church nominated Smith for her continuous volunteer efforts. All 13 honorees are invited to a banquet at the Governor’s mansion and given a $500 check to donate to the charity of their choice. Smith’s goal is to become a nurse one day, so that she can continue to help others.
