 Sixth Graders Share Their Thoughts

Jansen's sixth graders leave behind some of their thoughts and advice.  We will miss them as they head to Knox in 2008-09.

My greatest experience or memory at Jansen was…
Kayla Palmateer - JACD, it was one of the first clubs I was in.
Merisa Cozzolino - When Mrs. Sotero became our new principal.
Ashley Ward -  All of the teachers are very nice, and I loved the field trips we went on because I had a lot of fun.
Joshua Fuller - Playing kick ball with the fifth graders.
Sara Kosowicz - The Q and U Wedding with Mrs. Laird.  I remember having cake and dancing like we were actually in a wedding.
Dustin Christian - Our trip to the Adirondack Center.
Kale Henderson - Career Day was my favorite.
Morganne Dick - Having the baby chicks in our classroom, because they were fun to have and so cute.
Tanisha Barnwell -  Adirondack Center.
Gabby Smith - When I first came with Mrs. Moore and when Ms. Coons came.
Bridgette Lowery - Star Search.
Julia Wilson -  In second grade, Sar, Diane, Erica, and I wrote, ‘I will miss you!’ all over the board   before we left Mrs. Moore’s class.
Austin Albanese -  The Q and U Wedding.
Kyle Brower -  When we do all the field trips and the book projects.
Devlin Bahruth - All the fun activities we had.
Nate King - It was all the carnivals we had.
Amanda Gowen - Star Search -  everyone did a good job.

The one thing I will miss at Jansen when I go to Knox is…
Alexis Berry - All of my friends that I have met over the years.  I will, especially, miss Mrs. Neet and her class.
Austin Stergas -  All the teachers I know.
Jacob Ellerby -  All the teachers.
Bridgette Lowery -  Bread day!
Diana Horning -  All my teachers.  They always give me a warm smile.  There were great teachers that I will miss a lot.
Tanisha Barnwell -  Is the staff, because I think they all made a difference in all of us.
Axel Johnson -  The little kids we get to play with and teach.
Taylor Marotta -  All the exciting field trips we went on.
Ashley Ward -  All of the little kids.
Noah Western -  Star Search.
Michael Swierzowski -  All the wonderful staff and all the great things they did for my fellow     classmates and I.
Devlin Bahruth - I will miss all the teachers and the fun Honor Rolls.
Nate King - I will miss Mr. Goebel and gym.
Amanda Gowen - I will miss the teachers because they have been really nice.

One staff member that made a difference in my life was…
Austin Albanese - Mrs. Moore because she would always find something that would brighten up our day when we were down.
Katie Blair -  Ms. Coons because she really makes me feel like I can share anything with her.
Daeshan Buseck -  Mrs. Neet because she taught me how to do sign language.
Taylor Marotta - Mrs Miller because she found the best in me.
Torrey Beekman - Mr.  Westman because he was the nicest teacher I have had.
Gage Kilmer -  Ms. Hickok because she made learning fun.
Julia Wilson - Mrs. Sotero because she understands and is always there for us.
Thomas Horan -  Mr. Westman because he taught us well and for being funny.
Amber Wager - Ms. Hickok because she’s there when you need someone to talk to, and she can fix things when something is wrong.
Ryan Lehr - Ms. Johnson because she helped me with my math and science.
Michael Swierzowski - Mrs. Sotero because she changed the way Jansen works with many new activities and improvements.
Noah Western - Mrs. Olszowy because she helped me change the way I learned.
Erica Askew - Mrs. Laird because she was one of the nicest teachers I’ve had.  She did so many fun things with us to help us learn.
Dustin Christian - Mrs. Nolett because she always is nice and helps me with my work.
Maria Licciardi -  Mrs. Neet because I always get to go down and help in her classroom.
Shawnna Price -  Ms. Eagan because she would keep me on track and help me make the right decisions.
Tanisha Barnwell -  Ms. Pellegrino because she loved to meet and teach new students.
Joshua Fuller -  Mr. Goebel because he always tells us what we are doing and shows us how.
Diana Horning -  Mr.  Westman because he is the best teacher.  He is always in a great mood, smiling face, and a funny personality.  Whenever I have a problem, he gives me awesome advice.

One bit of advice I leave with the Jansen students is to …
Kyle Brower -  Do ALL your homework, and you won’t miss out on all the fun events.
Jordan Lehr - Respect the teachers and the principal, follow the rules and always do your homework.
Axel Johnson - Strive to be the best that you can.
Sara Kosowicz - Always do your best and always try hard so you can succeed in life and academics.
Erica Askew - Do your homework and study.  If you want to get a good job later, you need to get good grades now.
Jacob Ellerby -  Don’t talk back and think before you act.
Morganne Dick -  Try your best and have fun in elementary school.
Diana Horning -  You might not like school, but once you leave the school, you wish you could stay.
