Dear
Warren Street Families,
The infamous last month of school is officially upon us,
and with that comes the many things that go along with the
end of the year. Calendars are filled with trips,
assemblies, picnics, track meets, and field days. It is
more important now than ever to help make sure students
are prepared with sneakers, bag lunches for trips, and
signed permission slips and order forms on time. These
events are some of the exciting things that our students
look forward to and work hard to earn all year! There are
many hours of planning that go in to each event and the
thing that makes them so successful, are volunteers and
parent involvement. We are looking for helpers for many of
these events, as well as parents willing to serve as PTA
members and officers for the 2013-2014 school year. If you
or a family member are willing to donate your time to help
make our programs and events a success for our school, or
would just like more information, please feel free to
contact me directly at Warren Street.
Another exciting thing about the month of June, are the
programs that help us to assure learning is a twelve month
experience for our students. The theme of our PARP program
will be, “Spring into Summer Reading” with many fun and
exciting ideas of how students can continue to read at
home over the months away from school. The Johnstown
Public Library will be visiting classrooms, as well, to
promote their free summer reading programs, and telling
students about other great opportunities throughout the
community. Our students have worked exceptionally hard
this year, and I couldn’t be more proud of their
accomplishments! With your help at home, we can continue
this growth and assure a successful and exciting start to
next school year! Thank you for all that you do, and have
a safe and enjoyable summer!
Sincerely,
Mr. Scott Ziomek
Principal
